On October 7, 2023 at 6:30 am the Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack on Israel from the Gaza strip. They fired a huge barrage of rockets at the civilian population of Israel overloading the Iron Dome system. At the same time more than a 1,000 Hamas terrorist and then regular Gaza civilians crossed knocked down the fence and crossed the border to Israel.
They raped women, beheaded children, burned whole families. They slaughter more than 1,000 people. Injured sever thousands and took more than 200 as hostages. Including elderly holocaust survivors, women, children, and even babies.
This is the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust.
Relative to the size of the country it claimed 10 times more lives than 9/11. We were and still are in shock.
Since then there is a war going on between Hamas and Israel. This is the 16th day of this war.
As always the wars with Hamas, or in more general with the Palestinians have two major elements. Basically two wars. One of them is on the ground, at sea and in the air. This is the "regular war". However there is also a war on the international public opinion.
I can't help my country with the regular war, but I can try to contribute my little contribution on the front of the information war.
Blog in Hungarian
Three days after the slaughter I felt that it is time to start a blog writing about the situation. As I thought there are plenty of people, many of then native English speakers writing in English I decided I'd start to write in Hungarian. In a way I was also afraid of it as I have not written much in Hungarian for more than 30 years and I was never really considered as a good writer.
To my surprise several people commended on my writings and at one point started to encourage me to write down my thoughts in English as well to reach a wider audience.
I also have relatives in the USA who don't speak Hungarian, but who have been trying to follow my Hungarian posts using Google translate.
I thought it might be better if I start a blog in English as well.

It won't be a translation of the Hungarian blog, but the topics are going to be similar.
I'll start by covering the war and then I'll extend to the whole conflict and in general I'll write about Israel.
